From God to us.
We don't have to dig it up, stir it up, or conjure it up.
We can't buy it, steal it, or beg it from our neighbor.
It doesn't matter if we live in mansions or ramshackle shacks,
Whether our faces reflect vibrant living, or
the wrinkles of pain and experience.

Men and women,
young and old,
young and old,
With or without mother
Or father or family;
No matter our race,
No matter our ethnicity,
No matter the color
of our skin;
of our skin;
God gives us Hope.
What a relief!
We need only ask and God will fill us with hope.
